Here some updates on the Malibu Open Europe:

The
tournament will take place in LACANAU south west of France, 45 minutes from
Bordeaux on July 6th, 7th and 8th 2007
·
It
will be a 3 events record tournament with cash prize money for slalom, jump
women and men and record capability for trick. This
tournament will count for the elite ranking list
·
The
total purse so far is $54,000 ($14 000 more than last year), we are
working on getting more cash but so far it is what we secured. The cash prize
will be given in $ (NOT euros)
·
The
tournament will be semi final and final on Saturday and Sunday. A qualification
round will be held on Friday for slalom and jump. The three days will be record
capability tournament.

Local
and national TV coverage will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
How to get into the tournament:
- Slalom: Top 12 men and 6 women from the elite ranking list (list ending in
May 5th 2007) will directly be qualified for the Saturday semi final
in slalom. A qualification round will take place on Friday July 8th
to open to 12 more spots for men and 6 more spots for women to access to
Saturday semi final in slalom.
- Jump: Top 12 men and 6 women from the elite ranking list will directly
be qualified for the Saturday semi final in jump. A qualification round
will take place on Friday July 7th to open to 12 more spots for
men and 6 more spots for women to access to Saturday semi final in jump.
The secured
elite skiers that would directly ski on Saturday are not skiing on the
qualification round on Friday.
- Trick: NEWS!!!! Because too many trickers are registring for tricks, the minimum to particape are the following: 7000pts for women and 9500pts for men. We didn’t secure cash money for tricks yet but we are working on it.

Qualification
Women Slalom (minimum of 1 at 12m to participate as personal best) 6 women will
be qualified to ski on Saturday with the 6 elite women.

Men Slalom (minimum of 4 at 11m to participate as personal best) 12 men will be
qualified to ski on Saturday with the 12 elite men.

Women Jump (a minimum of 40m to participate as a personal) 6 women with will be
qualified to ski on Saturday with the 6 elite women.

Men Jump (same as slalom with a minimum of 58m to participate as a personal
best)

Lacanau est situé à 55 Km, à l'ouest de
Bordeaux, en bordure de l'Océan Atlantique.
Par le train " TGV Atlantique",
on accède à la gare de Bordeaux St Jean depuis la gare de "
Paris-Montparnasse". Liaison biquotidienne par bus avec Lacanau, ou
navette prévue par l'organisation, prévenir de l'heure d'arrivée sur le
bulletin d'inscription).
Par avion, jusqu'à l'aéroport international
de "Bordeaux-Mérignac", navette prévue par l'organisation, prévenir
de l'heure d'arrivée sur le bulletin d'inscription).
En voiture, depuis l'autoroute de ceinture
de Bordeaux, prendre la sortie n°7, puis suivre les panneaux "
Lacanau" sur la route N215 puis la D6.
Lacanau is situed 55 Kilometers of
Bordeaux, along the Atlantic Coast.
From Paris "Montparnasse Station" by high-speed train
" TGV Atlantic" to Bordeaux ' Saint Jean station". Bus shuttle
twice a day to Lacanau ( free airport pick-up organized, call to announce your

By car, reach
the highway surronding Bordeaux named “ROCADE”, go North to Paris take Exit N°8
(you will see Lacanau as the exit name”, then follow the signs "
